Another dream-inspired book, this adventure with two very different boys, an enchanted house, a talking white cat, a bumptious dog, and the Wild Hunt itself, is really a gloss on the entire genre of fantasy. It may be the most seriously weird book I have ever written.

Original stories about the King Arthur and his adventures, told by different writers, including two (Anne McCaffrey and Nancy Springer) who turned their short stories into major young adult novels. Adam and I wrote a song for the book, “Amesbury Song,”
Here There Be Witches

This is a comic book for adults, not children. The artist Charles Vess–whose work in comics and illustrated books I had admired for a long time–asked a number of fantasy writers to try writing a comic book story based on a
Scottish/English folk ballad. I chose “King Henry,” a ballad in the Loathly Lady tradition.
